
Misguided, quick fix, dangerous and even fraudulent approaches to fitness and nutrition are saturating the media airways and unsurprisingly are not putting a dent in the poor health, poor performance, poor body fat composition, or the unhappiness epidemic. We continue to fool ourselves with half-hearted attempts at change, overlooking purpose while doing so, all the while displaying very little humility. We have passed the midpoint of February 2019, and the New Year’s fitness resolutions have faded quickly. The new diet after the gluttonous Super Bowl Sunday has already failed us. What’s next on the clean slate horizon? The Lenten season? The “Spring” into Shape or the “Fall” into Fitness Challenges?
Drive by one of the countless 24-7 fitness franchises and you’ll see parking lots full of folks wobbling to the door to vie for a spot on a hamster wheel elliptical or treadmill, with nothing more than a hope and a prayer of a Hail Mary from their own 10-yard line. Or visit the high intensity niche facilities where the resilient youth perform at high levels (for now at least, but they will pay the price), while the 30, 40, 50, and 60 year old somethings are led to believe this type of high volume training will benefit them and turn back the clock (it’s not a matter of if, but when the injuries will arise). For the 13 week Transform Phase, starting on March 4th, 2019, you’ll follow our structured, safe, and sustainable program with conviction. You’ll be tested on parameters such as fat loss, muscle gain, strength, flexibility, power, functionality, transformation photos (and of course how nice you are to us☺). We’ll collect this data just prior to the start of the program and then at the end of the 13 week Transform Phase. At the end of this 13 week Transform Phase, your body composition, performance, general health and life priorities (we’re not huge on the words life style) will have transformed. *And if by hard earned chance you were the most convicted of the bunch, you’ll walk away with $20,000 ($10,000 in your pocket, $10,000 to charity)!!! *And the number 2 most convicted will walk away with $5000 ($2500 in your pocket, $2500 to charity)!!!
*But here’s the catch…You will have to maintain your results for an additional 13 week Maintain Phase. The participants will be placed in order (i.e., 1 through 25) in terms of who made the most substantial progress during the 13 week Transform Phase. Then we’ll retest the participants at the end of the 13 week Maintain Phase in August 2019. We’ll be looking for significant transformation during the 13 Week Transform Phase, and then the maintenance of this transformation during the 13 week Maintain Phase.
Thus, if the number 1 finisher at the end of the first 13 weeks doesn’t manage to at minimum maintain their scores from the end of the 13 week Transform Phase to the end of the 13 week Maintain Phase, number 2 rises to the top slot…and so on. Essentially, this challenge is not a one and done. We want to see transformation, and we want to see the maintenance of this transformation throughout the challenging summer months. This program focuses far beyond the transformation and into the ability to maintain these improvements over time. No last minute, sprint to the finish line shots at winning🏁.
You’ll stay committed through countless weddings, graduation parties, vacations, weekend retreats, client entertainment, casual entertainment, business travel, birthday parties, the Lenten season, St. Patrick’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, right up to Labor Day. Sure, a couple of these need to be denoted as true special occasions, but hopefully this helps put things in perspective in just how many special occasions and obstacles lurk upon us. No more 1 – week, 30 day, or 6 – week quick fix challenges! The ALLTRAIN Gibsonia Challenge is designed for structured, safe and sustainable transformation.
Time Commitments
During the 13 week Transform Phase, you’ll train at ALLTRAIN Gibsonia on average three times each week for approximately 50-55 minutes (one of these three sessions each week will be with one of our coaches). Additionally, you’ll train 1-2 times each week with ancillary training such as a 12 min row, an 18-minute steady state bike, or maybe a 25-minute yoga flow session. During these sessions with your coach, as well as on your own, you’ll likely banter with your fellow competitors and may even team up with your friendly rivals to train together! Last, we’ll be suggesting a recreative lifestyle, such as a family trek or bike ride thru the neighborhood or local trail. Nothing extreme or excessive, rather safe and sustainable strategies. Note: During the 13 week Maintain Phase, you have access to our private training facility to continue our BLOCK Training Program. During this period, you are not required to work with a coach 1x per week, but of course we are here if you wish to do so…wink wink 🤔
